The Mine Your Own Diamonds Program
If you know there has got to be more to life, you're not alone.
Millions of women have spent their lives on the high altar of sacrifice. Giving is great. However, constantly being pulled in one direction or another by outside forces is a losing proposition. When the focus is continually outside of yourself, there is a cost. Fatigue, burn-out, stress, frustration, anger and disappointment can all be indications of a well run dry.
You may already be feeling this. But what, you wonder, can you do? And, in reality, what are you actually giving? Because to give deeply with passion and purpose to a world in desperate need, well, that is nothing short of the ultimate source of pure energy.
Why is it so hard to be attentive to your own needs?
For eons, the role of women has been one of service to family and community. We received worth and value by taking care of others. The traditional family structure was there to take care of us. This was great then. But for many, this is no longer true.
High divorce rates and new societal mores now require every woman to be more self-dependent. Yet, after centuries of service, this is difficult for us to accept. Whether consciously or not, most of us still look outside for authority, value, worth and approval. We still dream the prince will come to our rescue. And that a fairy-tale relationship will save us.
So, what do you do? How do you keep the dream from becoming a nightmare?
Take these three steps:
- Claim your natural gifts and talents
- Align with your passion and purpose
- Secur your own financial future, whether you are currently in a relationship or not
If this sounds scary, it doesn't have to be. Because now you have the Program.
And it's all about relationships.
"Perspective can make or break you sometimes. I have had one of the hardest years of my life. Working with Linda, affirming what I am doing right, cheering me on to take life as a challenge rather than a burden, and working with metaphor to shift my perspective has changed what could have flattened me completely into a transformative process."
- Cathy Schnarr
Mine Your Own Diamonds takes you through the journey of exploration, discovery and development in four key areas:
- Your Relationship with Yourself
Through focused exploration, you mine what is already inside. You get a clear picture of where you are now, find your gifts and talents. Find your center. Get solid with yourself. Establish your foundation.
- Your Relationship with Your Future
Take what you've mined and design the perfect setting. Find your passion and purpose. Create your ideal future. Create the steps to get there.
- Your Relationship with Creativity, Money and/or Spirit
Taking individuality into account, this module is tailor-made to your specifications. Explore the topic that holds the most interest to you based on your particular life circumstances. You can choose to concentrate either on one topic or touch on all three.
- Your Relationship with the World
Bring your passion to the world. Be valued for what you bring. Keep your brilliance in the midst of others. Learn how to give while staying connected to your center. Have strong relationships.
How I Found my Sparkle
I've been down this path myself. After a lackluster four years in university studying communications, I took a long trip down to Mexico and Guatemala.
There, I found women using ancient weaving techniques to create brilliant fabrics. My heart leapt at the beauty and intricacy of the designs and colors. I felt my childhood passion come alive when contemplating the possibilities of a life in art.
When I returned home, I decided not to go down my intended career path but to take the journey that was calling me. I entered school again. This time to study what made me feel alive: weaving.
But my secret passion, what I wanted most, was not to be a weaver at all, but to be.......a painter. This was the ultimate. But at that time, it was too big a step, way too far out of reach. Painting was for other people. So, I began where I was and I learned to weave.
In my desire to create a contemporary interpretation of the ancient methods I had seen, I developed my own techniques. I used dye as paint, creating a more fluid process where I could experience the mysteries of being in the moment with creation. I learned about trust and patience. I gained confidence by facing my fears and came out the other end. I had success.
Gradually, I realized the life I really wanted was within reach. I traded my loom for an easel and took up the brush. It has been over fifteen years since I had my first painting exhibition.
My experience in art was where I tried and tested, discovered and experimented with concepts that I have now developed into Mine Your Own Diamonds. Now, my passion has expanded to include providing these tools and techniques to all women who are ready to discover for themselves their hidden treasures and bring their own passion to life.
In twelve 45-minute sessions over four months, with gentle nurturing and safe growth, generous support and precise action steps, you explore the territory that counts - your self. You shift your authority from outside influences to inside yourself. This becomes your inner foundation. The choices you make with this foundation in place will immediately make a difference in the quality of your life.
You begin to experience true fulfillment: to be filled up from the inside out. Your well is no longer dry but spilling over. Your passion and sparkle are back.
"Linda provided a supportive environment that fostered insight and encouraged my growth and commitment to maintain positive change. Linda's ability to synthesize information and promote forward movement is outstanding. She brings creativity, wisdom, and compassion to each session. I was able to overcome long-standing patterns, move into empowered motivation, and achieve my goals."
- Andrea St. Clair, CCDCI, CDP
My biggest wish is that you experience these results:
- Confidence, a solid sense of self
- Passionate living, inner joy expressed outward
- Trust in yourself and your value
- Peace of mind, knowing you can meet whatever comes your way
Some of What We'll Cover in the Program:
- Where You Are Now. This session begins the program by getting a clear picture of where you are right now and will provide the basis for the following sessions.
- Who You Really Are. Next, we will begin the discovery process by mining the diamonds of your gifts and talents. What makes you uniquely you. You begin to establish your foundation.
- Keeping It All In Place. Developing your foundation. We begin to look at where you lose yourself and how to maintain your center.
- What's In Store? Moving into your future, if you don't have something in mind for yourself, someone else will. Finding your purpose, what are you here to do? What are you passionate about? We'll mine some more diamonds.
- Having a Plan. Doing the important work of mapping out how to bring this future into reality. Taking small steps, carefully thought out, with loving support, you develop a series of do-able steps that take you where you want to go. You will choose a project or action to work on for the rest of the program, putting concepts into practice.
- Friends and Family. Integrating your new discoveries into your life. Getting the support you want from those around you. Having solid, intimate relationships.
- What Comes Up. Putting strategies in place to take care of what comes up along the way. Working through the bumps in the road.
- Exploring Creativity, Money or Spirit. Whether you choose to dive deeply into one of the above or take one session on each, exploring and developing these three areas will add a richness to life that is beyond compare. These sessions will be designed specifically to suit your needs.
- Money Module - Example. Putting your financial house in order. How to get what you're worth. Making sure all your jewels are insured.
- Bringing Back the Giving. Using what you've learned so far, this session is about giving back. Giving is great. We all want to make a difference, either in individual lives or on a grander scale. Now, that you've filled yourself up, giving becomes a way to express and share who you are with the world, even if this means just being comfortable in all situations.
Here's the thing: you already carry your sparkle within you. It's there waiting for you. If I can find my way to a life with passion, so can you. And you can do it much quicker because you have all the steps laid out before you, you have the support of an experienced guide and you are consciously making a decision to do so.
How the Mine Your Own Diamonds Program works:
- We meet by phone for 12 45-minute sessions over 4 months time. This works remarkably well. Of course, all calls are completely confidential. Four months is optimum time frame for gentle change to take permanent root in your life. The first 8 sessions are once a week. The next 4 are every two weeks.
- You receive unlimited email support during this time.
- A workbook of tools, exercises and audio to deepen your experience.
- Upon request, an Mp3 recording of each session
- An option for monthly maintenance should you choose to extend your program beyond the initial four months.
The first step I recommend is getting the Free Diamond Tool Kit. In it, there are seven tools to get you started right away.
Next, request a 20-minute free consultation. We'll take the time to look at your particular needs and see how the Program will work for you. I'll answer any questions you may have. Once you decide you are ready to get your sparkle back, we'll choose a time to meet regularly. Soon, you'll be on your way to finding passion and purpose, to waking up loving life!
If you are undecided or have any questions that I haven't answered, please don't hesitate to contact me. I also appreciate any comments on how I might better serve your needs, or comments on this web site including typos, misspelling, bad links and such. I would like your experience here to be pleasant and nourishing in all ways.
My very best to you and your life full of sparkle,
Linda Hough
